INCHEON, Korea–()–Samsung Bioepis Co., Ltd. gab heute die Ergebnisse einer zusätzlichen einjährigen Folgestudie mit SB3, einem biosimilaren Prüfpräparat zu Herceptin® (Trastuzumab), bekannt. Die Daten wurden auf dem Jahrestreffen der American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO, US-amerikanische Gesellschaft für klinische Onkologie), das vom 1. bis 5. Juni 2018 in Chicago stattfand, als Abstrakt-Veröffentlichung bereitgestellt.

„Die zusätzliche einjährige Folgestudie belegt das langfristige Sicherheitsprofil von SB3“, sagte Chul Kim, Leiter der Abteilung klinische Forschung von Samsung Bioepis. „Wir bleiben der Aufgabe verpflichtet, unsere starke Pipeline von biosimilaren Prüfpräparaten weiter zu entwickeln, damit mehr Patienten und Gesundheitssysteme von Biosimilars profitieren können.“

Patienten mit HER2-positivem Brustkrebs im Frühstadium wurden nach dem Zufallsprinzip acht Zyklen zugewiesen, in denen sie SB3 oder das Referenzprodukt Trastuzumab (TRZ) in einem neoadjuvanten Setting sowie gleichzeitig mit einer Chemotherapie erhielten. Die Patienten wurden dann einer Operation unterzogen, auf die zehn Zyklen mit adjuvantem SB3 oder TRZ folgten. Nach Abschluss der Behandlung stimmten 367 Patienten (SB3, n=186; TRZ, n=181) der Teilnahme an einer fünfjährigen Folgestudie zu. Die mittlere Dauer der Folgestudie nach Beginn der Studienbehandlung lag für SB3 bei 30,1 Monaten und für TRZ bei 30,2 Monaten. Ziel der Studie war es, die Inzidenz symptomatischer Herzinsuffizienz (Congestive Heart Failure, CHF), die Abnahme der asymptomatischen, signifikanten linksventrikulären Ejektionsfraktion (Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction, LVEF), die Inzidenz weiterer kardialer Ereignisse, das ereignisfreie Überleben (Event-Free Survival) und das Gesamtüberleben (Overall Survival, OS) zu beobachten.

Während des zusätzlichen einjährigen, behandlungsfreien Folgezeitraums zeigten die Studienergebnisse eine geringe Inzidenz kardialer Sicherheitsereignisse und keine statistisch signifikanten Unterschiede bei den Überlebensergebnissen im Vergleich zu TRZ in der SB3-Behandlungsgruppe.

SB3 befindet sich in regulatorischer Überprüfung durch die US-amerikanische Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Die Biologics License Application (BLA) für SB3 wurde im Dezember 2017 zur Überprüfung angenommen.

Les données ont été publiées sous forme d’un résumé lors du congrès annuel 2018 de l’American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), qui s’est tenu du 1er au 5 juin 2018 à Chicago.

Les patients atteints d’un cancer du sein précoce HER2-positif ont été randomisés pour recevoir huit cycles de SB3 ou de trastuzumab de référence (TRZ), en traitement néoadjuvant associé à la chimiothérapie. Les patients ont ensuite subi une intervention chirurgicale, suivie de 10 cycles de SB3 ou de TRZ en adjuvants. Après la fin du traitement, 367 patients (SB3, n = 186, TRZ, n = 181) ont consenti à participer à une étude de suivi de cinq ans. La durée médiane de suivi à partir du début du traitement à l’étude a été de 30,1 mois pour le SB3 et de 30,2 mois pour le TRZ. L’objectif de cette étude était d’observer l’incidence de l’insuffisance cardiaque congestive (ICC) symptomatique, la diminution significative de la fraction d’éjection ventriculaire gauche (FEVG) asymptomatique, l’incidence d’autres événements cardiaques, la survie sans événement (EFS) et la survie globale (OS).

Pendant la période supplémentaire d’un an de suivi sans traitement, les résultats de l’étude montrent une faible incidence des événements d’innocuité cardiaque et aucune différence statistiquement significative dans les critères de survie par rapport au TRZ dans le groupe de traitement sous SB3.

SB3 fait l’objet d’un examen réglementaire par la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) des États-Unis (FDA). La demande de licence de produits biologiques (BLA) relative au SB3 a été acceptée pour examen en décembre 2017.

On May 24, 2018, an analyst accused Samsonite of concealing slowing growth through debt fueled acquisitions and massaging earnings and inflating margins through questionable purchase price accounting.

In addition, the analyst accused the Company’s CEO of falsely holding himself out as a doctor and highlighted certain matters the analyst considered red flags about Samsonite’s South Asian joint venture, manual journal entries, and related party transactions.

This news drove the price of Samsonite securities down $4.09, or 19%, to close at $17.25 on May 25, 2018.

Then, on June 1, 2018, The Wall Street Journal reported CEO Ramesh Tainwala resigned due to personal reasons and separation arrangements are being worked out.

With Vietnam's Economy Booming, MINISO opened 40 stores in the country and is continuing to expand its Vietnamese Market

Those who shop in stores are mainly young people, with both men and women, but their income level is from medium to upper class. At the same time, their consumption level is relatively high, with per capita consumption as high as RMB 60-80. This is one of the major reasons that the retail market of Vietnam has huge potential.

MINISO focuses on the shopping mall and shapes the brand perception of consumers 

With the influx of foreign investment, and the rise of a large number of urban commercial complex, especially the rapid development of the third industry, the consumption habits of the Vietnamese are changing from the traditional street consumption to the shopping mall, which integrates different kinds of beer and skittles. MINISO, which is keenly aware of the trend, has adjusted its expansion strategy in the Vietnamese market, moving from crowded neighborhoods to malls and shopping centers.

The correct strategy adjustment needs to be analyzed in combination with the actual situation of the country. According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Vietnam, there will be 1,200 to 1,500 supermarkets, 180 commercial centers and 157 shopping centers nationwide by 2020. Last October, MINISO reached cooperation with Vincom, Vietnam’s largest commercial real estate group, to pave the way for the brand’s future development in Vietnam’s major commercial and shopping centers. Mr. Ted, the general manager of MINISO Vietnam said that, the headquarters of Vincom is in Hanoi and is known as China’s “Wanda Group” in Vietnam, which has opened two stores in Hanoi cooperating with MINISO, and both of them are in Hanoi, where sales are very good.

For the future strategic transformation of the Vietnamese market, MINISO not only cooperated with Vincom, but also reached cooperation with Vietnamese super star Son Tung M-TP as its brand spokesman. Son Tung M-TP is a well-known singer in Vietnam, whose fans are about 16 to 30 years old, which fits the target consumption group of MINISO. His Facebook has over ten million fans, which is highly influential in the local area. The cooperation aims to build positive brand image of MINISO to local consumers and deepen their awareness of the brand.

Among 10,000 stores worldwide, there are 400 stores established in Vietnam, which shows MINISO’s superiority in the local market.

The retail industry in Vietnam has great potential, and there are new brands being introduced into Vietnam almost every day. Support of government policies, the rapid rise of the middle class and the relatively young demographic structure are the factors contributing to the rapid growth of the retail market. However, the competitiveness of domestic retail brands is relatively weak. There are many large-scale enterprises with large market share in the Vietnamese retail market, such as Co. It will provide strong support for store digital operation and analysis as well as the whole logistics supply chain; secondly, MINISO owns its unique “IP products”, the latest design of new products, fast update speed, meets the consumption habit of local consumers and caters to the taste of the masses. In recent years, the development of MINISO in the global market is eye-catching. So far, MINISO has opened more than 2,600 stores worldwide, covering over 62 countries and regions, including the U.S., Australia, Canada, Korea, Japan, China and Indonesia, etc. In 2017, the turnover of MINISO reached USD 1.8 billion, which has doubled comparing the turnover of 2015. San Juan Seltzer, which competes in one of the hottest and fastest growing beverage alcohol categories, currently dominated by national mainstream products, offers the lowest calories of any hard or spiked seltzer on the market at 85 calories, zero sugar and zero carbs per 12-ounce serving. Each refreshing can is all-natural, gluten-free, 4.2 percent alcohol by volume (ABV), and inspired exclusively by fruit that is grown in the Pacific Northwest, including: Huckleberry, Fuji Apple, Raspberry-Cran, and Pure.

Enger finalized each of the flavors after multiple rounds of taste testing with her local friend group and her San Juan Seltzer team members before partnering with Schooner Brewing in Seattle to craft brew and distribute each of the small batch recipes under license from San Juan Seltzer. All four flavors are currently available on tap at the Schooner Brewing Beer Hall in SoDo for locals to enjoy. Canning begins in early June to start supplying select western Washington retailers by the 4th of July.
